  I tried to do this ogre in a realistic style as much as I can :).

Live eDISHion 2012

  В прошлые выходные (3-5 ноября) в Москве проводилась небольшая выставка-конкурс стендового моделизма Live eDISHion 2012. В числе категория были две, интересующие нашу тусовку - Фэнтези и Фантастика.

   Last weekend there was an exhibition/contest of military and historical modelism in Moscow - Live eDISHion 2012. There were two categories interesting for us - Fantasy and Sci-Fi miniatures.

   Про выставку всем сообщил Ооками всего за несколько дней ДО открытия. И мы в экстренном порядке приняли решение "Участвовать!" Покопавшись в наших личных коллекциях Я, Марина и Ооками выставили некоторое количество работ. Они фактически и "сделали" эти две категории ввиду непопулярности этой тематики среди суровых стендовых моделистов.

  Ookami told us about this exhibition just a few days before the openning. And we immediately decided "to paticipate!!!". We found some works in our personal collections for the contest. And, frankly speaking they "made" this two categories because of the unpopularity of this theme among harsh stand modelers.

And this is another one my WIP - ork biker.  And I would ask again to comment it again and may be give some ideas for filling this base by more details (there is no much activity in my previous wip - Wolf den, but I still hope for it :))

Wolf Den. WIP

   This is my work in the Serpentarium's project called "Ashan-Tyr". We(RRR)'re planning to create some kind of tutorial of painting the Confrontation mini Ashan-Tyr in approximately the same color scheme but by different ways/painters. I hope it will be really interesting! So stay tuned!

   Now I'm on the stage of creating a base for it. I've decided to create a small diorama "Wolf Den". This tree will be a background for two minis - Ashan-Tyr and Varghar. I think that the tree must be dark and dead with a wolf den inside it. 

   And I want to ask you to comment it before I'll set a plants. What do you think about it? What can I change or add? May be there are some solutions to do it better, may be no :).  All your comments and recommendation will be listened and I'll try to think about it. One head is well but two - are better. And I'll be really appretiate for all your meanings.

Here are my last works - Barbarian Gaint and Alahan flag-bearer from Confrontation. Nothing special but simple good minis :). Hope you'll like it.

 

 

Some W.I.P.s

Today I was meeting with all serpentarium members. We talk-talk-talk a lot about blog, about plans, about colors and bases.
I decided to show some of my works-in-progress.

There are two bases.
One for AshanTyr (Rackham).
Second  for winged vampire (GW).
It`s difficult for me to do bases. And it`s  impossible to do beatiful base. So... I  call Ookami for help. Ookami, River and Ravenswood (and Zubr sometime) always have a lot of interesting ideas. And often  a lot of caustic remarks.  :)

And some wips from my workplace.

Basing is SIMPLE!

I think the base is not very difficult. The main issues that arise is what to do and from what. On the first, I probably will go into transcendental wilderness, so long as quiet. With the second easier.

   Little bases that made ​​after talking with We7 THIS THREAD. Do not think they reference, rather a test version. Myself just interesting, could I put together something in 2 cm plastic. Well somehow fit, although sacrificed place for miniatures))

Empire General. Step-by-step by River. Part2: General.

I continue my step-by-step tutorial of the Imperial General. Now it's time for the General. I used the same recipes of several colors (red, white) as in the first part (Horse) so I'll not repeat it here.

   Face.
1. base - GW Foundation Tallarn flesh
2. I added to the base GW Dark flesh, purple. And I added of little bit blue in deeper shadows
3. highlights - base + GW Elf flesh
4. glazing cheekbones areas with orange and final highlights by Rakham Pearl flesh
5. Bleached Bone  - in the eyes
6. Pupils - I used dark blue and white for the speck in the pupil. Then I rounded the eyes by mix from step 2 and painted the eyebrows.
7. Hat was made ​​by analogy with the bridle, the white ribbon on the hat - as a blanket, a skull - like skeleton.  Hair: base GW Scorched brown, lightening - with the addition of GW Vomit brown and orange to the desired color. I've decided to make earring with blue stones - I don't know why.

Acolyte of December

Hi!

This mini have a hard story. When I start to collect "Cult of December" crew for Malifaux this mini be one of first brought and first based and primed. And I tryed to paint it at first time. And I fail.

My crew is growing I played in Malifaux and also brought the second acolyte. When I started paint this mini at second time I choose paint scheme of CoO Revee Hunter with nice freehands. And I fail again.

I selled off major part of "December" crew and rebuilded it. So it will be time to tryed paint this acolyte again. I choose another painting scheme from amaizing Ringil's Chaos Champion. And when I fail again I stopped playing and paintig this crew

So two weeks before this moment I collect all "December" minis and I started paint this acolyte one last time.

So at the fourth time since two years from the first try I DID IT!
