Crusade era III Legion Praetor

I've completed painting The Praetor of the Third Legion. At last! It was a long adventure that allowed me to try new recipes and colors, to work with textures again. At the end, I am satisfied with the result, and soon I will be working closely with both the new praetor (another legion) and the new miniature from the Third.

A Kriegsman veteran sergeant WIP. Here you may see the difference between Green Grey from Scalecolor Artist (on coat) and Dark sea Blue from Vallejo Model Color (helm and laspistol). Just as described in its naming the Green Grey is more blue and Dark Sea Blue - is more green ;-)

Dark Angels veteran sergeant

Dark Angels test veteran sergeant now finished. I tried to do a black/red deathwing paint scheme without bone white parts, and hope what this experiment was successful.

Personally I am not a big fan of FW marines based on "dolls" from HH plastic sets but DA Interemptors aren't so bad as pack of bits 🙂

(great sculpt if seriously)

Dark Angels Breacher Marine

I got HH9 book from ForgeWorld and I am dissapointed by visual content quality. DA has 2,5 times less visual content than Ultramarines in 5th book. And this content don't clarify nothing about DA heladics what I hoping for.

So I finished my test DA breacher heraldics basing 6th book. And need to develop my own vision of DA colors and etc.

Yellow-Black Chevrons recipe by Ravenswood

Yellow-black chevrons, or stripes, are a fairly simple and interesting way to make a focal point on the miniature or diversify the color scheme. It does not require any special technique or perfect blending to do this element well . On the contrary, some roughness will only improve the result.

For colors, any Golden NMM recipe is suitable for us, in which only the application technique will be changed. We will consciously minimize the contrast.
