Crusade era III Legion Praetor

I've completed painting The Praetor of the Third Legion. At last! It was a long adventure that allowed me to try new recipes and colors, to work with textures again. At the end, I am satisfied with the result, and soon I will be working closely with both the new praetor (another legion) and the new miniature from the Third.

Dark Angels Interemptor test mini

I've completed the DA interemptor test mini! This is my vision of that unit, I wanted to do it a more grim and brutal variant than in original FW kit. So I used Iron Hands tactical squad bits as base for my interemptor model.

Paintedd schemes was already developed on the past test DA minis: blacks based on Green Grey (Scalecolr Artist) and reds based on Shadow Flesh 2 and Burgundy Red (both Pacific88 Art-Color). I did just one exception - I added some rust to the mini.

The plasma glowing pinted by mix of Turquise Blue (SCA) and white.

How to paint the Krieg guardsman

 How to paint Krieg Guardsman

In this short article I will describe those painting recipes that I used when working on the Krieg Guardsman with a flamer. In this miniature, I decided to experiment a little with new colors, slightly modifying old recipes. I hope this shows you that you can and should experiment with paints, try something new.

Yellow-Black Chevrons recipe by Ravenswood

Yellow-black chevrons, or stripes, are a fairly simple and interesting way to make a focal point on the miniature or diversify the color scheme. It does not require any special technique or perfect blending to do this element well . On the contrary, some roughness will only improve the result.

For colors, any Golden NMM recipe is suitable for us, in which only the application technique will be changed. We will consciously minimize the contrast.
