I've completed this regiment at last! Just 7.5 years of painting and it is done) The last ones is far different from the firet one but it diesn't matter. Just one mini now to go)

 One more "Last" chaos dwarf, 3rd of 4. I did some more experiments with bronze and gold od the sield and ax usind Scalecolor Artist ans Pacific88 paints.

One more bronze NMM study. This time looks far more reddish and copper but now only four pants used: Flesh Shade 2 (Pacific88 Art-Color), Bunt Siena and Orange (Scalecolor Atrist), Cadmium Skin (VGC)

13th zwerg

 One more chaos dwarf to my chaos dwarf army. On this model I tested the new bronze NMM scheme based on Pacific88  paints.

Not Red Unicorn of Death

 This zwerg has a long and sad history. For the last five years he has been lying on the desktop and in boxes in various stages: semi-assembled, converted, once again converted, prepared for painting, partially painted, etc.
He is managed to be a warrior with a shield, a two-handed axe, a champion and a test model for a new painting scheme (twice). And even was the "Red Unicorn of Death" (actually Rot Einhorn des Todes - hallo mr. Ben Komets ;-) ) but not for long.
I was tired of everything and painted him late December. Now this guy is looking for a new home.

У этого цверга долгая и грустная история. Последние лет пять он валялся на рабочем столе и по коробкам в различных состояниях: полусобранный, переконверченный, ещё раз переконверченный, подготовленный к покрасу, частично покрашенный и т.д.
Он успел побыть воином со щитом, в двуручным топором, чепмпионом и тестовой моделью под новую схему покраски (дважды). И даже "Красным единорогом смерти" тоже был, хотя недолго.
В итого все закончилось как закончилось: перед новым годом мне все надоело, я его за пару дней таки докрасил. Теперь этот парень ищет себе новый дом.

Chaos Dwarf Magma Cannon

Finally, it's  fully painted! This miniature was started 5 years ago, in May 2012. And it was done with very looooooooong breaks all this time. Therefore, in places this work looks like the monster of Dr. Frankenstein - assembled from different parts, painted with different levels of painting skills. After this amount of time, it's interesting to see the changes in the basic paint recipes that I used. Almost everywhere I switched from paint GW to Vallejo, except gray skn, where Vallejo was originally.
However, nothing stands still and now I would like to radically change the schemes of the bronze and gold NMM to reach a new level of skills and try something different.

It remains to do only one small thing - to rearrange the cannon to the gaming base and add it to my Chaos Dwarfs army

Наконец-то заончена! Эта миниатюры была начата ещё 5 лет назад, в мае 2012 года. И делалась с ооооооочень большими перерывами всё это время. Поэтому местами эта работа выглядит как чудовище Доктора Франкенштейна - собранная из разных частей, покрашенных с разным уровнем навыков покраски. По прошествии такого количества времени довольно интересно постмотреть на изменение основных покрасочных рецептов, которыми я пользовался. Практически везде я перешел с красок ГВ на Вальехо, кроме серой кожи, где Вальехо был изначально.

Однако ничто не стоит на месте и теперь я хотел бы радикально изменить рецепты брозового и золотого НММ, чтобы выйти на новый уровень навыков и потробовать что-то иное. 

Осталось сделать только одно маленькое дело - переставить пушку на игровую подставку и добавить её в мою армию гномов хаоса.

12th zwerg

12th zwerg for my regiment and only second it this year. Regardless that I now a full time painter, I have very little time to paint for myself. From the other side now I have big practice of painting and my skill grow faster. 

Hellsmith v1.2

A short introduction to the problem

Initially, these miniatures produced as Event Only Forge World in 2011. It just so happened that my only visit to the Golden Demon was in the same year, and I bought a couple of these guys (three, to be exact). One of them was painted for me by Kirill Kanaev, who is also painted  the second. But then my skill of persuasion ended. However, even at this point, I decided that these models very nice and I need to buy bit  more (thank you, Grim). And more. and more.

When the amount of purchased Hellsmiths beginning to approach the ten, the question arose what to do with them. The answer came at once: paint them!

But seriously, for me, this is almost perfect miniatures: small, easy to paint, limited, and they are chaos dwarfs. Actually them I decided to search for the philosopher's stone on these zwergs. I hope I have enough six attempts.

3rd Anniversary and alternative champion for my Infernal Guard

February 10 was 3 years as I started my army blog on Chaos Dwarf Online. To celebrate this I painted alternative champion with pistol who I can use in my both Infernal Guard units.

I like original bare head version but I don't want many minis with same faces in my army. So I booked bare head version for upcoming projects.
Also as always I tried to improve to color scheme by change the orange. On this mini I used VMC Amarantha Red.

Chaos Dwarf Infernal Guard -2

I painted this unit for my Chaos Dwarf army. For a year I painted 11 miniatures, 8 of which I used to work for the competition Hussar 2014.

I tried to make them brighter than the dwarves from the first group, which slightly changed the color scheme. I used Scrofulous Brown instead Calthan Brown in "Bronze" HMM, and added more orange to black in the early stages of highlighting.

Also I added lava on the base to make the model more visually brighter. And lava on the bases defined selection for the general idea of regimental base. Unfortunately, due to the mistakes in time management, I did not have time do it as best as I can. In the end it happened how it happened.

I won nothing with this unit on Hussar 2014, just passed to final. Anyway I think it was good work and good experience for the future.

Chaos Dwarfs Fireglaive Unit

Good news everyone! (c)
This is the first unit in my LoA chaos dwarf army. I finished them for a three days before Cristall Hammer competititon and they are win the "fantasy unit" category.

Chaos Dwarf Icon Bearer WIP

9th zwerg from my fireglaives unit. I tryed to do the red-glowing eyes and I hope I did it well but I very disapointed by some other parts. So will do little repaint for this one after all ten will be done.

Zwerg change

I highly want to improve quality of my future Chaos Dwarf army. So I upgraded painting scheme on my four zwerg. I use black/orange base for 'bronze' armour instead of black/green. Also I add little dot of blue to the base color of the scale armour and completely change rust and patina painting scheme.
Also I do little experiments when I paint leather parts.

Yep, I know what I paint only four zwergs for half year. It's sad but I hope paint it faster in future.
